Cyanogenmod 7.2.0 Release candidate ready for testing

Cyanogenmod, the popular android based firmware developing community, has released their latest version. This version, 7.2 RC1 is based upon Google’s Android release 2.3.7 and is the final release on 7.x series. Cyanogenmod official blog reports it has added a couple of backported features and fixes from Android 4.0, Icecream sandwitch. One of the major bug fix it claims is about SD card ringtones. Its earlier versions sufered from misteriously vanishing ringtones from SD card.

Cyanogenmod added support for nealy 20 new devices adding a sum of 70 in supported devices list! I tested it is my idea blade and found working well. Though it is crashing at times, its overall performance is satisfactory. If you are not interested in tesing, do not use this release candidate and install previous stable version.

    • It works good, many changes, specifically saying T9 dialling is really nice. You do not have to go for any third party predictive dialers at all. It works good but at time some apps are crashing. Hope it would be fixed in stable release. Anyway I am satisfied with this version.

    • Its has many bug fixing from Android 4.0. Dialer is now added with T9 predictive input so that you can search names easily. One of the major change I found is you can install applications in SD card by deafault. This version is really fast too.

  1. Hey i wanted to know if you have faced any issues with this version. More FCs or Games not working or any of such bugs?? Do share

  2. Yea even i have faced the same with many of the applications including the browser as well. Think we should raise it in the cyanogenmod forum.
